5 Types of Pages You Need on Your Real Estate Website

November 13 2015

realtor websiteHaving a website is one thing, but having an effective website is another. One aspect that can make or break your agent website is the content on its pages. Providing valuable information – information your audience is looking for – is crucial if you want them to become leads and clients. That's why it's so important to have the right types of pages and content on your website.

When creating your site, try your best to include the following types of pages:

A 'Buyer' Page

Having a section dedicated to Buyers allows you to tell potential clients what the process of home buying is like and what it's like to work with you. Potential buyers may be nervous and have a lot of questions about the process, so make it easy on them by providing the information they crave.

Try including additional pages or pieces of content that talk specifically about the following steps of the home-buying process:

  • Selecting an agent
  • Financing
  • What to expect when viewing homes
  • Making an offer
  • Closing the sale
  • Staying organized with multiple properties
  • Signing up for email alerts
  • Mortgage calculator

A 'Seller' Page

Similar to having a 'Buyer' page, you should also have a page for people who need help selling their home. Again, this allows you to give your audience a glimpse of what it would be like to work with you. You can also provide valuable information that can help you come across as a knowledgeable, professional real estate agent.

As a subset of this page, try to include the following steps of the selling process within individual pages, if possible:

  • How to select the right agent
  • Setting your price
  • Attracting buyers
  • Handling viewings
  • Dealing with offers
  • Closing the sale
  • Free home evaluation

Featured Listings

Are there particular listings you want to call attention to? The perfect place to do so is on your 'Featured Listings' page. This also makes it more convenient for your audience because rather than sorting through a massive list of all of your listings, they can simply browse through a selection of the ones you want to feature. Remember, it's likely that many of the visitors to your website are going to be interested in listings, so give them what they want!

Property Search

People love convenience, especially in the digital world. The easier it is for your audience to search for and learn about different listings you offer, the better. That's where a 'Property Search' page comes in handy. This page should allow your audience to easily filter your listings by the qualities most important to them – price, number of bedrooms or bathrooms, location, square footage, etc. Offering property search on your Realtor website is a wonderful way to make your site more user-friendly to prospects.

About You

Real estate is a highly personal business. Since people are making some of the biggest decisions of their lives, they want to know who the agent assisting them is. It's crucial that people have the opportunity to know you before deciding if you're the agent for them. On your 'About' page, talk about what sets you apart from other real estate agents. What are your areas of expertise? What compliments have you received from past clients regarding their experience with you? And most importantly, what are the next steps for contacting you? Give your audience the answers to all of these questions on this essential webpage.

Having a real estate agent website is a great first step – now you need to make sure it has all of the most important pages your audience needs to find what they're looking for. Follow the tips above and you'll be on your way to having an effective and informative agent website.
