Facebook

A lot of fuss was made last year when Facebook switched member profiles to the Timeline design. While plenty of users pooh-poohed the changes, Timeline is actually a clever way to create a digital scrapbook of your life. Twitter

With all the RTs, #s, and @s, Twitter users can seem like they're speaking a foreign language. Because of the site's 140-character limit, these symbols and abbreviations are necessary, but are super simple to understand.
