Broker Platform Innovation Pays Off for Inside Real Estate
As technology companies grow and gain market share in the industry, only some are building for the future with ongoing innovation. The challenge for all of them is to remain innovative in a competitive environment, where the leading brokerage platforms offer many of the same features and functionality. For the longest time, the themes of elegant, front-end design and consumer lead generation was the goal line. Those elements remain relevant today, but the most innovative broker technology firms have emphasized deeper productivity applications for teams and agents, like sophisticated, AI-driven lead follow-up that acts like a 24/7 smart virtual assistant for every single agent. The most innovative tech firms today are tapping into the perennial struggle of our industry – creating the tools to create and maintain customers for life. In 2021, Inside Real Estate launched two significant productivity components to their broker platform, named kvCORE. The first was CORE Present, an integrated CMA and listing presentation solution. CORE Present allows the marketing team of the brokerage to construct on-brand listing presentation templates. The seamless integration to the kvCORE system eliminates the need for agents and teams to sign in to a third-party application to run their CMA and build a listing presentation. The quality of the product earned them a perfect 5-star rating by Inman News. The second product innovation to kvCORE was the release of CORE Home – the first-of-its-kind lifetime homeownership technology that puts the coveted consumer relationship in the hands of brokerages and their agents. Like CORE Present, CORE Home is seamlessly integrated into the platform to empower agents to deliver better service to their clients, over the lifetime of homeownership. What's completely groundbreaking is that the technology is 100% branded to the brokerage and agent, giving them the opportunity to provide value to consumers all throughout their homeownership journey. There are four main components: Current Home, Next Home, Buy and Sell, and Move. With Current Home, clients have a portal containing real-time alerts around home value and detailed market data, and the ability to monitor mortgage and insurance to ensure competitive rates. Next Home is an agent guided search solution. Buy and Sell contains vital transaction related task management, and Move delivers a concierge-type solution for moving, home improvement, and home maintenance. There is no doubt that the demand and need for this technology is fierce. They've rolled out CORE Home to several thousand agents in two major brokerages and have already seen a 30x lift in consumer engagements. The new homeownership technology is available exclusively to Inside Real Estate's kvCORE customers. Aside from these two significant building blocks being added to kvCORE, there were more than 300 additional product additions and enhancements made to other elements of the platform last year. That is a lot of innovation when you are also growing and onboarding new clients at that high of a growth rate. The results of driving innovation have been significant for Inside Real Estate. The company reports that user satisfaction is a perfect 5 out of 5 for 75% of their customers, and a 4.5% overall rating. In four years, Inside Real Estate has grown their brokerage client base to serve 250,000 agents managing 115 million client relationships. Some of their notable clients include eXp Realty, NextHome, Weichert Realtors, Royal LePage, The Keyes Company, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty, JPAR Real Estate, Samson Properties, La Rosa Realty, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene, HER Realtors division of Howard Hanna, among many others. Company employment has grown past the threshold of 250. As we move through a transition year in the real estate market that is expected to cool off the seller's market, we expect platforms like kvCORE to play a more significant role in helping brokerages create efficiencies and helping agents grow their client relationships for maximum repeat and referral business. The effort to find and nurture home buyers has not been a consideration for the past few years. Companies who focus on onboarding buyers into solutions like kvCORE today will be poised to gain market share in a slowing housing market. To view the original article, visit the WAV Group blog.

Inside Real Estate Launches Another Winner with CORE Present
Inside Real Estate continues to expand the functionality of kvCORE by introducing CORE Present, which is revolutionizing the CMA and presentation experience. The company acquired the award-winning dashCMA in 2020. Their launch of CORE Present, which was built upon the popular pricing and data visualization features of dashCMA, leverages one of the key strengths of Inside Real Estate, which is their MLS connectors that allow agents to build an interactive presentation from data refreshed every 15 minutes or less from the multiple listing service. This keeps the data constantly fresh and eliminates the need for agents to search listings for their CMA in the MLS then import them to a CMA tool. As you would expect, agents can add or remove comparable listings from CORE Present to hone in on the right homes to inform consumers of active, pending, and recently sold properties that influence home prices. But then it gets interesting. CORE Present is fully interactive on the spot, letting you address questions from clients and show them answers in real-time. When clients ask how much more they'll get for their home because it has a pool, you can instantly highlight the average price of homes, both active and sold, with and without pools. Adjusting real-time during your presentation is going to set you apart. CORE Present also comes with customization and "presets" that make it incredibly easy to adjust the presentation based on seller personas. For example, if your client is committed to selling but "shopping" for the right agent, the presentation will adjust content to focus on why you're the right agent for the job, versus a seller who's more focused on top market dollar—which will lead with pricing analysis. There are also design themes which display a more luxury aesthetic, traditional, modern, etc. You can adjust the style to fit the unique circumstances of the client. Inside Real Estate threw in one more of its well-known techy features by providing behavioral insights that help the agent know how to follow up by seeing when they opened the presentation, which comps they spent the most time viewing, or other areas they spent time viewing. This not only tells agents when to follow up, but gives them a script based on what's most important to their client. You can find more information about CORE Present on the Inside Real Estate website where you can request a demo. You will be particularly interested in the interactive dashboard. This product is available to users of kvCORE, who may access it along with the many other tools that complement that suite of professional systems that include agent and team websites, CRM, lead gen, marketing studio, and so much more. Adding a pricing and presentation builder to the product lineup at Inside Real Estate will allow the firm to stack additional value into their offering. The native integration for kvCORE users that puts the CMA into the workflow for agents and teams is likely to be a compelling experience for customers.

Create the Perfect Commercial Presentation Package with RPR
The perfect presentation package can be timely and expensive to compile for REALTORS® working with commercial clients. Having the right reports and data to help walk a client through your expertise is essential in gaining their trust and business. It's your job to learn your client needs and wants; from space requirements, approved uses, amenities needed, etc., to specific attributes that might support who they want to be around for potential customers, tenants or even employees. The more thoughtful your asks, the more precise you can be with pinpointing the right location. Having this conversation provides you with a checklist for your research process and presentation package. Once you have your client's checklist, the data collection begins... STEP 1: ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES Review your client's checklist of attributes and determine the most important economic, demographic and spending behaviors that best suit your client's needs. For example if your client is looking for a multifamily investment, you might focus on finding areas heavily populated with those in early adulthood (20-39) who have college degrees, and who live in an area with population growth.

Helping Agents Master the Listing Presentation
When agents have time to prepare for a listing presentation, they do a great job. Unfortunately, agents are time constrained and sometime lack the bandwidth to produce truly excellent listing presentations every time. It is incumbent on brokers to support agents with streamlining the listing presentation process. The lowest common denominator of listing presentations are agents who show up to a listing appointment with a few black and white listing printouts from the MLS. As undesirable as that may seem, it produces a good goal. If it was as easy to print out a full listing presentation as it is to search and print out a few listings from the MLS, agents would do it. Great listing presentations provide a 360-degree overview of all facets of the brokerage, the agent, the market trends, the current market (CMA), your seller marketing services, what to expect when your home is listed, the closing process, and the listing agreement. Other than the CMA, all of the components of a great listing presentation are dynamic templates. A broker technology solution that builds listing presentations contemplates this. The word dynamic is important here. Listing presentations need to be localized to the community and to the subject property. If the agent can identify the property address, the entire listing presentation can be built in seconds, establishing a new minimum standard of excellence that will produce better results and more listings.

iPad Listing Presentations and Relationships
WAV Group has been working with many companies on listing presentations. They are the Barnum and Bailey Circus of selling real estate. You know the drill: in this ring we have the home tour, in this ring we have comps, and in this ring we have why you should pick me. iPads deliver listing presentations with a much higher impact than paper. It’s a great listing tool. There are a few tools that make the iPad sing that I really like. I think that Paperless Agent has put together a great series of education and applications that make the iPad a terrific selling tool. They call it the Digital Listing Presentation Power Pack. For $67, you should just purchase it to see how they combine the training with the tools and bring them to life on the iPad. Another tool you cannot purchase but should see if you are a Realty Alliance broker, is Pacific Union’s Digital Listing Presentation. Like so many things that are in the DNA of Pacific Union’s success, they built it themselves. The first version was better than any listing presentation around, but version two is a combination of luxury refinement and simplicity. The Realty Alliance members share their techniques with other Realty Alliance firms, so that is the ticket to seeing this work of art. Cloud CMA and TouchCMA are also winners. Cloud CMA is in every MLS, but only smart agents have found it. TouchCMA has less adoption but bangs out some serious horsepower.

Unboxing the New iPad App 'Slide Bureau'
As a newbie to the real estate technology industry, my journey has been nothing short of a learning experience. With a solid background in social media, I had a foundation to build from but what I didn't know was how the real estate industry used the various social media platforms or other technological tools available for agents, brokers and multiple listing services. To quote Aladdin, it was a "Whole new world!" At first, it was a bit overwhelming. Not only did I have to learn the different real estate terms, but I was also playing catch-up on the different technological tools. I've been in this industry for five weeks now and every week I learn about a new and exciting technology available to the real estate industry. This past week I sat in on a demo for Slide Bureau, a presentation creation and sharing service. After the demo ended, I promptly downloaded The Slide Bureau app on to my iPad. The layout of the app was simple and color wise, it was easy on the eyes. It allows users to open a free account either through their Facebook, Twitter or email account. With just one touch of the Twitter button, I was connected!

Leprechauns, Unicorns and Property Marketing - Part 2
This is the second part of an excellent whitepaper published by VHT. To read Part One, click here. Consumer Expectations Today's web-savvy consumers are accustomed to being dazzled by sharp, colorful, professional photography and elegantly designed retail sites. They are used to features, functions and presentations that help them picture themselves wearing or using the merchandise they see on the web. Can you imagine going to a top retailer's web site and seeing fuzzy, unfocused pictures of merchandise? How much time would you spend shopping on a site that showed grainy or distorted photos with bad lighting? Or photos with poor composition that appeared hastily shot? You would be shocked to see a leading consumer brand such as Macy's use anything less than vivid, full-color photographs in its online merchandising.
