Dotloop and NextHome Team Up with Back Office Upstart BrokerSumo

May 25 2017

brokersumo logoYou may start hearing the name "BrokerSumo" a lot more in the months ahead. The upstart back office solution announced two recent agreements that could expand its user base significantly.

Last week, the company entered into a partnership with NextHome, Inc. to provide NextHome franchisees a platform for managing office accounting, and the commissions and compensation of the firm's 1,700+ agents.

Rather than stuffing its software with a lot of bloated features, BrokerSumo is a lean solution that focuses on doing one thing well: handling the financial side of your back office. NextHome Chief Strategy Officer Keith Robinson cited BrokerSumo's "blend of efficiency, accuracy and ease of use" as a major factor in deciding to offer it to franchisees. "As you manage your brokerage, your back office solution should 'just work' and allow you to be a better leader for your agents," says Robinson.

Integration with dotloop®

One of the ways BrokerSumo stays 'lean' is by integrating with existing solutions rather than developing internal modules for, say, transaction management. This is one factor propelling the growth of the platform—it plugs into your ecosystem of tools rather than requiring that you migrate away from your existing solutions.

One new integration partner is an extremely popular one—transaction management platform dotloop®. BrokerSumo announced the integration in late April, in response to frequent requests from its customers.

The move saves brokers and agents time by eliminating the need for double data entry. Transaction data like property address, agent assigned, commissions, close date, sales price, and buyer and seller information now flows from dotloop into BrokerSumo seamlessly. Brokers can use this integration to close out transactions in BrokerSumo and automatically calculate commission splits, create commission disbursements, and more.

The completion status of a transaction can also be seen in just a glance, with BrokerSumo detailing in what stage—from transaction creation to agent payment—a transaction is in (see the image below). Agents and brokers can see their projected income on active deals, too, thanks to this integration.

Brokers are happy with the oft-requested integration, as well. "I'm impressed with the integration between dotloop and BrokerSumo," says Tom Lischak, real estate broker at Bridgeway Commercial Realty in Syracuse, New York. "It allows us to eliminate redundancies across our transaction processes within our back office management. This communication between companies enables our company to be that much more productive."

Dotloop isn't the only transaction management system that BrokerSumo plugs into—integrations with EZ Coordinator, SkySlope and ShortTrack are available, in addition.
