How to Enter REAL Trends 'The Thousand'

REAL Trends The Thousand, as advertised by The Wall Street Journal, is an annual national awards ranking. Designees are recognized as the top one-half of one percent of more than 1.3 million licensed REALTORS® nationwide.

"Last year, the average real estate agent in the U.S. sold 8.6 homes in 2016. The average agent ranked in The Thousand sold 192 homes and the average team sold over 469 homes," said Steve Murray, publisher of The Thousand. "These kind of results show that those who commit to being full-time professionals can build meaningful businesses and succeed beyond anyone's expectations. Achieving this level of results is simply incredible."

"In total, the professionals in The Thousand closed 167,688 sides and sold more than $79 billion in 2016—a new record for sales volume with a 9 percent increase over last year," said Murray. REAL Trends will also publish America's Best Agents, a breakdown of the top agents by state and MSA.
