SAN JOSE, California, Oct. 14, 2015 — The Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® received a First Place Award for its Presidential Video at the California REALTOR® Expo, hosted by the California Association of REALTORS® at the San Jose Convention Center Oct. 6th through Oct. 8th.
"Recognizing that consumers are turning to video to get information, we decided to ramp up our video efforts this year and make 2015 the year of video," explained SCCAOR President Craig Gorman. "We have produced some great videos this year that are being viewed by our members and potential members. Out of more than 150 Associations at C.A.R., 31 entered videos and we are honored that they selected ours for the first place award."
The video, titled "Dedicated to Your Success!," discusses many of the great benefits that SCCAOR provides to its members, including education classes, free tech support, in-house video production, counseling, arbitration and mediation, and networking opportunities through the events the Association holds each year. It encourages REALTORS® to join the Association. The video features not only Gorman, but President-Elect Trisha Motter and a cast of staff and SCCAOR members. "We are proud of the value we provide our members so to have an opportunity to share that with our peers was quite an honor," said SCCAOR CEO Neil Collins. "We have a very talented team here and they thoroughly enjoyed the project. To be chosen as having one of the best videos by C.A.R. was just over the top."
Javier Duarte, Media Production Coordinator at SCCAOR, who produced and edited the video, said, "Making short films requires a group effort. The enthusiasm our team showed to develop this project made the process gratifying and rewarding. Thanks to all who helped and contributed."
The California REALTOR® Expo covered everything from apps to social media to big data. There were hundreds of exhibitors displaying products and services that help REALTORS® boost their bottom line.
